Published in 1Password Security 1 min read

To disable autofill in 1Password, you'll need to adjust the settings within the 1Password app on your device. The steps vary slightly depending on whether you are using iOS or Android.

Steps to Turn Off Autofill:

  1. Open and unlock the 1Password app on your device (iPhone, iPad, or Android device).
  2. Access Settings:
    • iOS: Tap the icon representing your account located at the top-left corner of the screen. Then tap "Settings."
    • Android: Tap the icon representing your account located at the top-right corner of the screen. Then tap "Settings."
  3. Navigate to AutoFill settings: Tap "AutoFill".
  4. Disable AutoFill:
    • iOS: Under AutoFill, toggle the main "AutoFill" switch to the off position.
    • Android: Under Autofill, toggle the main "Autofill" switch to the off position.

Turning off the primary autofill setting will prevent 1Password from automatically filling in your credentials in apps and websites.
