How Do You Undo in Adobe DC?

Published in Adobe Acrobat 2 mins read

To undo an action in Adobe Acrobat DC (Document Cloud), you can use the following methods:

1. Using the Keyboard Shortcut:

  • The most common and quickest way is to use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Command+Z (Mac).

2. Using the Edit Menu:

  • Click on the Edit menu in the top menu bar.
  • Select Undo. The name of the action you are undoing will usually be displayed next to the "Undo" option (e.g., "Undo Typing").

3. Adding an Undo Button to the Toolbar:

You can add a dedicated "Undo" button to your toolbar for easy access:

  • Right-click on a blank area near the top of the program window, to the right of the existing menus.
  • A shortcut menu will appear.
  • Click Edit.
  • Select Undo. This will add the Undo button to your Acrobat DC toolbar.

Example:

Let's say you accidentally deleted a paragraph of text in your PDF. To undo this, you can either:

  • Press Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Command+Z (Mac).
  • Click Edit > Undo Delete.
  • Click the Undo button on your toolbar (if you've added it).

Note: The "Undo" feature has limitations. You can only undo a certain number of recent actions. Also, some actions might not be undoable.
