How do you add frames in Adobe Animate?

Published in Adobe Animate 1 min read

Adding frames in Adobe Animate is a fundamental skill. Here's how you can do it:

Methods to Add Frames:

  • Using the F5 Key: Select the frame where you want the animation to extend and press the F5 key. This will add a regular frame, extending the existing content on that layer to the newly added frame.

  • Right-Click and Insert Frame: Right-click on the timeline where you want to add a frame. From the context menu, select "Insert Frame." This also extends the content.

Example:

Let's say you have a drawing on frame 1 of a layer called "pendulum." If you select frame 1 in the "pendulum" layer and press F5, the drawing will be visible on all the frames added by pressing F5.
