You can easily change the tint of a color in Adobe Illustrator using the Color Mixer. Here's how:
- Select the Object: First, select the object whose color you want to modify.
- Access the Color Panel (Properties Panel):
- Click the Fill color swatch or the Stroke color swatch within the Properties panel on the right side of your screen. If you don't see the Properties panel, go to Window > Properties.
- Open the Color Mixer: Within the color panel that appears, locate the Color Mixer option at the top. It often appears as a small icon (three sliders or a gradient bar). Click it.
- Adjust the Tint Slider: The Color Mixer will display a single tint slider (often labeled with a "T"). Drag this slider to the left to lighten the color (reduce the tint) or to the right to darken it (increase the tint).
That's it! By adjusting the tint slider, you effectively control the amount of white that is mixed with your base color, allowing you to create lighter or darker shades of that color.
