How Do You Duplicate on InDesign?

Published in Adobe InDesign 1 min read

To duplicate an object or objects in Adobe InDesign, select them and then choose Edit > Duplicate.

Here's a breakdown:

  • Select the Object(s): Use the Selection tool (the black arrow) to click on the object you want to duplicate. You can select multiple objects by holding down the Shift key while clicking, or by dragging a selection box around them.

  • Navigate to the Duplicate Command: Go to the "Edit" menu at the top of the InDesign window.

  • Choose "Duplicate": In the "Edit" menu, select the "Duplicate" option.

InDesign will then create an exact copy of the selected object(s) and offset it slightly from the original. You can then move the duplicate to the desired location on your document.
