How do I put text around a rectangle in Photoshop?

Published in Adobe Photoshop 1 min read

To wrap text around a rectangle in Photoshop, you'll essentially be creating a shape that the text will flow around. Here's how:

  1. Create Your Rectangle: Use the Rectangle Tool (U) to draw a rectangle on your canvas where you want the text to flow around.
  2. Type Your Text: Select the Type Tool (T) and click on the canvas. Begin typing or paste your text. Photoshop will initially treat this as a standard text layer.
  3. Arrange Layers: Make sure your text layer is above the rectangle layer in the Layers panel.
  4. (Implicit Step based on the video) Using the move tool, click outside the bounding box of the text. This will make the text conform to the shape, thus wrapping it around the rectangle.

That's it! The text will now be wrapped around the rectangle.
