To change the blend mode to Screen in Premiere Pro, follow these steps:
-
Select your clip: In your timeline, click on the video clip you want to apply the Screen blend mode to.
-
Access Effect Controls: Go to the top left panel of Premiere Pro. You should see a tab labeled "Effect Controls". If it's not visible, go to Window > Effect Controls.
-
Navigate to Opacity: In the Effect Controls panel, scroll down until you find the "Opacity" section.
-
Change the Blend Mode: Within the Opacity section, you'll see a dropdown menu labeled "Blend Mode". Click on the dropdown menu and select "Screen".
Now, your selected clip will be blended with the layers below it using the Screen blend mode, which lightens the image based on the values of the underlying pixels. Dark areas will become more transparent, while brighter areas will become more opaque.
