Which AC Mode to Use in Summer?

Published in Air Conditioning 1 min read

The most effective AC mode to use in summer is Cool Mode.

In cool mode, your air conditioner works to lower the room's temperature to your desired setting and then maintain that temperature. This makes it the ideal choice for consistent comfort during hot weather. It's the standard and most commonly used mode for cooling your home. Essentially, the AC unit actively removes heat from the room and expels it outside.

Using other modes may not provide the desired cooling effect:

  • Fan Mode: Only circulates air and doesn't cool.
  • Dry Mode: Removes humidity, which can make a room feel cooler, but isn't designed for primary cooling.
  • Auto Mode: While convenient, relies on the AC unit's sensors and algorithms, and may not always provide the most efficient or preferred cooling during peak summer heat.

Therefore, for optimal cooling during the summer months, Cool Mode is the recommended and most effective setting.
