The shortcut for initiating the cross probe function after selecting it (Tools » Cross Probe) in Altium Designer is Ctrl+Click or Ctrl+Enter on the desired object.
After launching the Cross Probe feature, your cursor transforms into a crosshair. You then use the shortcut on the object you want to locate between the schematic and PCB. Specifically:
- Select the object: Move the crosshair cursor over the component, net, pin, or other object you wish to cross-probe.
- Activate the cross-probe: Press and hold the Ctrl key and click the left mouse button (Ctrl+Click), or press Ctrl+Enter.
This will highlight the corresponding object in the linked schematic or PCB editor, enabling easy navigation and verification between the design views.
