Your bicep, or biceps brachii, is a large muscle located on the front of your upper arm, between your shoulder and elbow. It's responsible for bending your elbow and rotating your forearm. You can easily find it by flexing your arm and feeling the muscle bulge.
The biceps has two heads:
- Short head: Originates on the coracoid process of the scapula (shoulder blade).
- Long head: Originates on the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula.
Both heads of the muscle converge and form a single tendon that attaches to the radial tuberosity of the radius bone in your forearm.
