Activating Flashlight with Quick Tap Gestures on Android

Published in Android Flashlight Settings 2 mins read

To set your flashlight for quick access on an Android phone, you can utilize the Quick Tap gesture feature. This allows you to turn on your flashlight with a simple gesture, often a double-tap on the back of your device.

Setting up the flashlight to be controlled by a gesture is a convenient way to access it without navigating through menus. Follow these steps to enable the Quick Tap gesture for your flashlight:

  1. Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your Android phone. This is usually represented by a gear icon.
  2. Navigate to Gestures: Scroll down the settings menu and locate the Gestures option. Tap on it.
  3. Select Quick Tap: Within the Gestures menu, you will find Quick Tap. Tap this option to configure its settings.
  4. Enable Flashlight: Inside the Quick Tap settings, you will see a list of actions that can be assigned to the gesture. Tap on Flashlight to enable this feature.

Once enabled, a quick tap (typically a double-tap) on the back of your phone will toggle the flashlight on or off, providing immediate illumination when you need it most.
