Splitting the screen on your Samsung Galaxy A03s allows you to use two apps simultaneously, side-by-side or one above the other. You can easily access this multitasking feature through the recent apps menu.
Starting Split Screen View
Here's how to initiate the split-screen mode on your Galaxy A03s:
- Open Recent Apps: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold, or tap the Recent Apps button (usually a square icon) on your navigation bar. This will show you a carousel of recently used applications.
- Tap the App Icon: Find the first app you want to use in split screen. Tap the icon of that app at the very top of its preview window.
- Select "Open in split screen view": A small menu will appear with several options. Tap "Open in split screen view".
- Choose the Second App: The first app will move to the top half of the screen. Now, select the second app you want to use from the list of recent apps or by navigating through your app drawer.
The screen will now be split between the two selected applications.
Using Split Screen
Once in split screen view, you can:
- Adjust the Size: Drag the divider line between the two apps up or down to change how much space each app occupies.
- Switch App Positions: Tap the handle or options button on the divider line (it might be three dots). You can usually find an option to swap the top and bottom apps.
- Exit Split Screen: Drag the divider line all the way to the top or bottom edge of the screen to close one of the apps and return the other to full screen.
Pop-Up View: Another Multitasking Option
Besides split screen, Samsung phones like the A03s also support Pop-Up View. This allows an app to run in a resizable, movable window on top of other apps.
As mentioned in the reference, you can often initiate this from the recent apps menu as well, by tapping the app icon and selecting "Open in pop-up view".
In Pop-Up View:
- You can drag the window around the screen. According to the reference, you can even drag it to the middle of the screen for a pop-out view.
- Tap on the upper section of the pop-up window to grab and drag it around.
- Drag the edges or corners of the pop-up window to resize it to your preferred size.
- Pop-up windows often have controls at the top to minimize, maximize, or close the window.
Both Split Screen and Pop-Up View offer flexible ways to multitask on your Galaxy A03s, allowing you to view and interact with multiple applications without constantly switching between them.
