Where Do Sea Lions Live?
Sea lions are amazing swimmers and explorers. Their home is mostly in the water, but they also spend time on land.
Based on what we know, here's where you can find them:
- Open Water: Sea lions love to swim in the big, wide open water. This is their favourite place to catch fish!
- Rivers Near the Coast: Sometimes, they visit rivers that are close to the sea.
- Man-Made Structures: Sea lions are super smart and social. They sometimes like to relax and hang out on things people build, like:
- Piers: These are like walkways built over the water.
- Jetties: These are structures that stick out into the water, often used to protect harbours.
So, a sea lion's habitat includes watery places like the open ocean and coastal rivers, as well as sunny spots on piers and jetties!
