How Big Is a Bullet Ant?

Published in Ant Biology 1 min read

Bullet ants are relatively large, ranging in size from 18 to 30 millimeters (0.7 to 1.2 inches) in length. This makes them one of the largest ant species in the world.

Because of their size relative to other ant species, they are often called the 24-hour ant, conga ant, or lesser giant hunting ant. The average lifespan of a bullet ant is up to 90 days.
