How Do I Download an App From Microsoft?

Published in App Downloads 2 mins read

To download an app from Microsoft, you'll primarily use the Microsoft Store. Here's how:

  1. Open the Microsoft Store: You can find it in your Start Menu or by searching for "Microsoft Store" in the Windows search bar.

  2. Search or Browse for the App: Use the search bar within the Microsoft Store to find the specific app you're looking for, or browse through the categories and collections.

  3. Select the App: Click on the app icon to open its details page.

  4. Download and Install:

    • If the app is free, you'll see a "Get" button. Click it to begin the download and installation process.
    • If the app is paid, you'll see a price listed instead. Click the price button to purchase the app and then download and install it. You may need to sign in with your Microsoft account if you haven't already.
  5. If you previously acquired the app:

    • Open Your Microsoft Store Library: Open the Microsoft Store app.

    • Navigate to My Library: Look for a "Library" or "My Library" section within the Microsoft Store (usually in the bottom-left corner). Select it.

    • Find the App: Any app or game with a Download icon next to it hasn't been downloaded yet.

    • Download and Install: Select the Download icon to download and install the app or game.

Once the download and installation are complete, you can find the app in your Start Menu or on your desktop (if a shortcut was created).
