How can I put password on App Store?

Published in App Store Security 2 mins read

You can require a password for purchases made on the App Store and other Apple media services through your device's settings. Here's how:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap on your name at the top of the Settings menu. This will open your Apple ID settings.

  3. Tap Media & Purchases.

  4. Tap Password Settings. Here, you'll find options to manage your password preferences for purchases.

    • Require Password: If this is enabled, you'll be prompted to enter your Apple ID password for every purchase.
    • Free Downloads: You can choose whether or not a password is required for free downloads.
    • Require Password After: This setting allows you to set a time interval (e.g., 15 minutes) after which a password will be required, even if you've recently made a purchase. This can be useful if you frequently make purchases. If set to "Immediately", you'll be prompted for a password with each purchase.

By adjusting these settings, you can customize the level of security and convenience that suits your needs when using the App Store.
