You can export a specific calendar from the Calendar app on your Mac.
Exporting a Calendar from macOS
To export one of your calendars using the Calendar application on your Mac, follow these straightforward steps:
- Go to the Calendar app on your Mac.
- Click the calendar's name in the calendar list.
- Tip: If you don't see the calendar list on the left side of the window, choose View > Show Calendar List from the menu bar.
- Choose File > Export > Export from the menu bar.
- A dialog box will appear allowing you to name the export file, choose where to save it, and select the format (it's typically saved as a standard calendar file, often with a
.ics
extension). - Click Export.
This process exports only the selected calendar. If you have multiple calendars you wish to export, you will need to repeat these steps for each calendar individually. The exported file contains all events from that specific calendar.
Exporting your calendar is useful for backing up your events or importing them into another calendar application or service.
