To edit the Smart Stack on your Apple Watch, simply touch and hold the stack of widgets on your watch face.
The Smart Stack is a dynamic feature on your Apple Watch that shows timely information based on your activity and time of day. While it intelligently rotates widgets, you can take control to personalize it further. Editing the Smart Stack allows you to add your favorite widgets, remove ones you don't need, rearrange their order, and even pin specific widgets to the top.
Here’s a breakdown of the editing options available:

Access the Smart Stack:
- From your watch face, scroll down with the Digital Crown or swipe up from the bottom of the screen. This reveals the Smart Stack.

Enter Edit Mode:
- Touch and hold the Smart Stack. This action puts the stack into edit mode, indicated by jiggling widgets and options appearing on the screen.

Perform Editing Actions:
Once in edit mode, you can do several things:-
Add a Widget:
- Tap the (+) button (as described in the reference).
- Browse or search for a widget you want to add from the available apps.
- Tap the widget or app name to add it to your stack. Some apps may offer multiple widget sizes or types; choose the one you prefer.

Remove a Widget:
- Tap the red minus button (—) that appears in the corner of the widget you want to remove.
- Confirm by tapping "Remove" if prompted.

Rearrange Widgets:
- Touch and hold the widget you want to move.
- Drag it up or down within the stack to change its position. Release when it's in the desired spot.

Pin a Widget:
- Tap the pin icon (a small pin symbol) next to a widget.
- Pinning a widget forces it to stay at the top of your Smart Stack, above any unpinned widgets, until you unpin it. You can pin multiple widgets; they will appear at the top in the order you arranged them.

Exit Edit Mode:
- Tap "Done" at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
Understanding Pinned vs. Unpinned Widgets
- Pinned Widgets: Always appear at the top of the stack in the order you set them. Great for information you want immediately accessible (e.g., Weather, Activity).
- Unpinned Widgets: Rotate automatically based on time, location, and activity, intelligently displaying relevant information throughout your day.
