- Locate Hoses: Identify the cold and hot water hoses connected from the wall outlets to the back of your washing machine. Also, locate the drain hose, typically leading into a standpipe or utility sink.
- Prepare for Spills: Place a bucket or other container underneath the water supply hoses to catch any water that will spill out when you disconnect them.
- Disconnect Water Supply Hoses:
- Using a wrench or slip-joint pliers, carefully remove the water supply hoses from the back of the washer.
- Do this one at a time.
- Allow any excess water still inside the hoses and the machine connections to drain into your bucket.
