Published in ArcGIS Pro Animation 2 mins read

Exporting an animation in ArcGIS Pro is a straightforward process using the dedicated export tools available on the Animation tab.

Once you have created your animation keyframes and timeline, you can easily export it as a movie file or image sequence to share or use in other applications.

Steps to Export Your Animation

Here are the essential steps to export your animation from ArcGIS Pro, based on the official documentation:

  1. Navigate to the Animation tab. This tab becomes available when you are working with an animation.
  2. In the Export group on the Animation tab, click the Export Movie button. This opens the Export Animation pane.
  3. Choose a preset option from the Media Export Presets group by clicking the desired thumbnail. Presets offer pre-configured settings for various outputs like YouTube, Vimeo, or specific video formats.
  4. Set the location and file name for your exported media product. Specify where on your computer you want the output file(s) to be saved and what they should be named.
  5. Optionally, expand File Export Settings to review or customize the output format, resolution, frame rate, compression, and other advanced properties before exporting.
