You can change the transparency of a raster layer in ArcGIS using the Image Analysis window. Here's how:
-
Open the Image Analysis Window: If it's not already open, go to the Windows menu and select Image Analysis.
-
Select Your Raster Layer: In the Image Analysis window, you'll see a list of raster layers from your Table of Contents. Select the raster layer(s) you want to adjust. You can select multiple layers.
-
Adjust Transparency: Locate the transparency slider or text box within the Image Analysis window.
- Drag the Slider: Drag the slider to the left to increase transparency (make the raster more see-through) or to the right to decrease transparency (make the raster less see-through).
- Enter a Value: You can also directly type a transparency value (0-100) in the text box. 0 is fully opaque (not transparent at all), and 100 is fully transparent (invisible).
The changes will be applied immediately to the selected raster layer(s) in your map. Experiment with different transparency values until you achieve the desired effect.
