Adjusting ear balance, also known as audio balance, involves modifying the volume levels sent to your left and right ears. This can be done through your computer's sound settings.
Adjusting Audio Balance on Windows 10
Here's the standard method for adjusting audio balance in Windows 10:
- Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar (usually located in the lower-right corner of your screen).
- Select "Sound." Alternatively, you can search for "Sound settings" in the Windows search bar and open it.
- Click on the "Playback" tab.
- Select your desired playback device (e.g., headphones, speakers) and click "Properties."
- Go to the "Levels" tab.
- Look for a "Balance" button or slider. Clicking the button usually brings up separate sliders for the left and right channels.
- Adjust the left and right channel sliders to your desired balance. Moving a slider to the left increases the volume in the left ear, while moving it to the right increases the volume in the right ear.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
You can also adjust the balance via Ease of Access:
- Search for "Ease of Access audio settings."
- Select 'Mono audio' settings
- Adjust the Left/Right slider.
