To open a drawing file as a block within the Block Editor in AutoCAD, follow these steps:

Click the Application button (typically the AutoCAD logo in the top-left corner) and then click Open Drawing.

Locate and open the drawing file that you want to use as a block. This drawing should have been saved as a standard
.dwg
file. -
Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon.

In the Block Definition panel, click Block Editor. You may need to expand the Insert tab to see the Block Definition panel.

In the Edit Block Definition dialog box, double-click <Current Drawing> from the list of available block definitions. This will open the current drawing within the Block Editor environment.
Now, the drawing is open in the Block Editor, allowing you to modify its geometry, add attributes, and perform other block-related operations.
