How do I create a command window in AutoCAD?

Published in AutoCAD Commands 1 min read

To display the Command line (or Command window) in AutoCAD, you can use a keyboard shortcut or type a command.

Here's how:

  • Keyboard Shortcut: Press Ctrl + 9. This will toggle the command line on or off.

  • Command Entry: Type COMMANDLINE (or just a portion of it that AutoCAD recognizes, like COM) anywhere in the AutoCAD interface and press Enter. This will bring the Command line back into view if it was hidden.

If the command line disappears again, repeat either of the above methods to restore it.
