You can arrange layout order in AutoCAD by selecting the layout tabs and using the Up, Down, Top, or Bottom options.
To change the order of your layout tabs in AutoCAD, follow these steps:
-
Select the Layout Tabs: You can select a single layout tab or multiple tabs. To select multiple tabs, hold down the Ctrl key (for individual selection) or the Shift key (for a range of tabs) while clicking on the layout tabs you want to move.
-
Access the Layout Tab Options: Right-click on any of the selected layout tabs. This will open a context menu.
-
Choose the Arrangement Option: In the context menu, you'll find options to rearrange the layout tabs. These options typically include:
- Move Left/Up: Moves the selected layout tab(s) one position to the left.
- Move Right/Down: Moves the selected layout tab(s) one position to the right.
- Move to Start/Top: Moves the selected layout tab(s) to the far left (beginning) of the layout tab list.
- Move to End/Bottom: Moves the selected layout tab(s) to the far right (end) of the layout tab list.
-
Click the desired arrangement option. The layout tabs will reorder accordingly.
Example:
Let's say you have three layout tabs named "Layout1," "Layout2," and "Layout3." If you want to move "Layout3" to the beginning of the tab order, you would:
- Click on the "Layout3" tab to select it.
- Right-click on the selected "Layout3" tab.
- Select "Move to Start" (or "Move to Top").
Now, "Layout3" will be the first tab in the order, followed by "Layout1" and "Layout2."
This process allows you to organize your layout tabs in a logical and efficient manner for your workflow.
