To open a PDF file in AutoCAD 2016, use the PDF Import command.
Here's a step-by-step guide:
- Go to the Insert tab on the Ribbon.
- In the Import panel, click PDF Import.
- The Select PDF File dialog box will appear. Navigate to the PDF file you want to open and select it. Click Open.
- The Import PDF dialog box will be displayed. This dialog box allows you to configure various options regarding how the PDF is imported.
- Configure the desired options in the Import PDF dialog box. These options control how the PDF's vector and raster data are handled upon import. You can choose to import the PDF as AutoCAD objects, specify the layer on which they are placed, and control the fidelity of the imported geometry.
- Click OK to start the import process.
Once the process completes, the PDF content will be imported into your AutoCAD drawing as editable objects. You can then manipulate these objects as you would with any other AutoCAD entity.
