Certain foods and juices can help a baby poop.
If your baby is constipated, here's what might help, according to the reference material:
- Fruit Juice: For babies not yet eating baby food, 1 to 2 ounces of 100% fruit juice, specifically pear, prune, cherry, or apple juice, may help. However, discontinue use if the stool becomes too loose.
- Pureed Fruits: If the baby is old enough for baby food, try pureed pears, peaches, or prunes. These are preferable to juice.
