How do you measure your band size?

Published in Bra Sizing 1 min read

To measure your band size, you'll need a soft measuring tape. Here's how:

  1. Measure Under Your Bust: Wrap the measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, directly underneath your breasts, where your bra band typically sits. Ensure the tape is level and pulled taut but not too tight.

  2. Take the Measurement: Note the measurement in inches.

  3. Add Three Inches: Add 3 inches to the measurement you obtained in step 2.

    • Example: If your ribcage measurement is 31 inches, then 31 + 3 = 34 inches. Your band size is 34.
  4. Adjust for Odd Numbers: If the result is an odd number, round up to the next even number.

    • Example: If the calculation gives you 33 inches, round up to a band size of 34.

In summary, the formula is: (Ribcage Measurement in inches) + 3 = Band Size (round up to the nearest even number if needed)
