How do I Import Opera data to Firefox?

Published in Browser Data Import 2 mins read

Importing your Opera data into Firefox generally involves exporting your bookmarks as an HTML file from Opera and then importing that file into Firefox. Here's how:

Exporting Bookmarks from Opera

  1. Open Opera.
  2. Go to File > Import and Export > Export Bookmarks as HTML. This will create an HTML file containing all your Opera bookmarks.
  3. Save the HTML file to a location you can easily access.

Importing Bookmarks into Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click the Bookmarks icon in the toolbar (it looks like a star or a list). If you don't see it, press Alt to show the menu bar, then click Bookmarks.
  3. Select Manage Bookmarks at the bottom of the menu. This opens the Library window.
  4. In the Library window, click Import and Backup.
  5. Select Import Bookmarks from HTML.
  6. Locate the HTML file you saved from Opera and select it.
  7. Click Open. Firefox will now import your Opera bookmarks.

After importing, you can find your Opera bookmarks in a new folder within your Firefox bookmarks. You can then organize them as you like.
