What is a full face frame?

Published in Cabinet Construction 1 min read

A full face frame is a type of cabinet construction where the doors and drawer fronts completely cover the frame. You only see the frame when the doors and drawers are open. This is in contrast to partial overlay cabinets, where the face frame is visible between the doors and drawers.

Full face frame cabinets offer a traditional look, and the frame provides additional support for the cabinet doors. They are also often more affordable than frameless cabinets.

Examples of full face frame cabinet construction:

  • Kitchen cabinets: Full overlay doors are commonly used on face frame kitchen cabinets, creating a clean and modern look.
  • CPAP masks: Full face frames are used in some types of CPAP masks, such as the Respironics DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask Frame, to provide a secure and comfortable fit.
