Published in Canva Border Editing 2 mins read

To resize a border in Canva, you simply need to select it and then drag its handles. Here's a detailed guide:

Resizing Your Border

Resizing a border in Canva is straightforward:

  1. Select the Border: Click on the border you wish to resize. This will make the border's adjustment handles appear.
  2. Drag the Handles:
    • White circle handles will appear on the edges of the border.
    • Click and drag these handles inward to shrink the border or outward to expand it. This allows you to adjust the border's dimensions freely.

Changing the Border's Color

In addition to resizing, you can also easily change the color of your border:

  1. Select the Border: As with resizing, click on the border to select it.
  2. Locate the Color Tile: Once selected, the editor toolbar at the top of the screen will display a color tile.
  3. Choose a New Color: Click on the color tile to select from the available color options or use the color picker to find a specific color you need.

Key Things to Remember

  • You cannot add photos to borders. Borders are intended as decorative or structuring elements and are not designed for image fills.
