Filtering Your Canvas Calendar
Filtering your calendar allows you to focus on assignments and events for specific courses or groups, making your schedule easier to manage. This is particularly useful if you are enrolled in many courses or are part of several groups.
Here's how the filtering process works:
- Locate the Calendar List: On the right-hand side of your Canvas Calendar page, you will see a list of your courses and groups. Each course and group has a name and an associated color box next to it.
- Click the Color Box: Click the color box next to the Calendar for the course or group you want to filter [1].
- If the box is filled with color, the items for that course or group will appear on your calendar.
- If the box is empty (white or transparent), the items for that course or group will be hidden from your calendar view.
- Select Multiple Items: You can click the color boxes for multiple courses and groups to show or hide them as needed.
Calendar Display Limits
It's important to note that the Canvas calendar can display events and assignments for up to 10 courses and/or groups at a time [1]. If you have more than 10 items selected (their color boxes are filled), Canvas will only display the first 10 in the list. You will need to deselect some items to view others if you exceed this limit.
Understanding Calendar Colors
Canvas automatically assigns a color to each course and group calendar. These colors help you visually distinguish events from different sources on your main calendar view.
