How do you add motion effects in CapCut?

Published in CapCut Editing 1 min read

You can add motion effects in CapCut primarily through the Motion Blur effect, found within the app's effects library. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Effects Tab: In the CapCut app, look for the "Effects" tab, typically located on the bottom menu or the top right section of your screen.

  2. Select Video Effects: Within the Effects tab, choose "Video effects."

  3. Find Motion Blur: Scroll through the available effects categories until you find "Lens," and within the Lens category, select "Motion blur." You might need to download the effect if it's not already downloaded.

  4. Add the Effect: Tap the plus icon (+) to add the motion blur effect directly to your editing timeline. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the effect above the video clip you want to apply it to.

  5. Adjust the Effect (Optional): After adding the effect, you might be able to adjust its intensity or other parameters depending on the specific motion effect. Look for options within the effect's settings on the timeline to customize it.
