Published in Car Maintenance 1 min read

Using a battery jump starter is a straightforward process that can get your car running quickly. Here's how:

  1. Connect the Cables: Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your car battery. Then, attach the black clamp to a grounded metal part of your car's frame away from the battery, fuel lines, and moving parts.

  2. Power Up the Jump Starter: Turn on the jump starter.

  3. Start Your Car: Attempt to start your car.

  4. Disconnect: Once your car is running, disconnect the black clamp first, then the red clamp.

  5. Charge Jump Starter: Recharge your jump starter after each use to ensure it's ready for the next time.

Remember to consult the specific instructions provided with your jump starter model, as procedures may vary slightly. Many jump starters also have a button to check the battery level.
