World Giving Index 2024
The World Giving Index, compiled by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), examines charitable behavior across more than 140 countries. It's based on surveys conducted by Gallup, focusing on three key aspects of giving:
- Helping a stranger: Percentage of people who have helped someone they didn't know.
- Donating money: Percentage of people who have donated money to a charity.
- Volunteering time: Percentage of people who have volunteered their time to an organization.
The index then ranks countries based on their overall giving score, which is derived from these three metrics. This year, Indonesia has topped the list. This data was released on 05-Sept-2024.
