Labour pain is also called Somatic Pain.

The term somatic pain specifically describes the type of pain experienced during the active phase of labour, particularly as the fetus descends. This pain intensifies with increased cervical dilation and correlates directly with the intensity, duration, and frequency of uterine contractions. This type of pain is associated with the body (soma) and arises from the musculoskeletal tissues.
