How Do I Export Google Bookmarks?

Published in Chrome Bookmarks 2 mins read

To export your Google Chrome bookmarks, you can use the built-in Bookmark Manager. Here's how:

  1. Open Google Chrome: Launch the Chrome browser on your computer.
  2. Access the Bookmark Manager: There are a couple of ways to do this:
    • Click the three vertical dots (Menu) icon in the top-right corner of the Chrome window. Then, go to Bookmarks > Bookmark manager.
    • Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+O (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+O (Mac).
  3. Open the Export Menu: In the Bookmark Manager, click the three-dot icon (Organize) located near the top-right corner of the page.
  4. Select Export Bookmarks: From the dropdown menu, choose "Export Bookmarks."
  5. Choose a Save Location: A save dialog box will appear. Select a folder on your computer where you want to save the bookmark file.
  6. Save the File: Give the file a name (it will be saved as an HTML file) and click "Save."

Your bookmarks will now be saved as an HTML file, which you can then import into another browser, store as a backup, or share with others.
