How Do I Save All Chrome Windows?

Published in Chrome Browser 2 mins read

The fastest way to save all open tabs in a Chrome window is by using the "Bookmark All Tabs" feature. This feature allows you to save all the tabs in a given window into a single bookmark folder for later access.

Steps to Bookmark All Tabs in a Chrome Window:

  1. Access the Menu: Click the three vertical dots (the "Customize and control Google Chrome" menu) located in the upper-right corner of the Chrome window.
  2. Navigate to Bookmarks: Hover your mouse over "Bookmarks" in the drop-down menu.
  3. Select "Bookmark All Tabs...": Choose the "Bookmark All Tabs..." option from the submenu. Alternatively, you can find this option in the main Bookmarks menu at the top of the Chrome window (if enabled).
  4. Name the Folder: A dialog box will appear, prompting you to name the new folder that will contain all your bookmarked tabs. Choose a descriptive name so you can easily identify the saved tabs later (e.g., "Project Research," "Shopping Ideas," "Read Later").
  5. Choose a Location (Optional): You can also select the folder where you want to save this new folder of bookmarks. The default location is usually the "Bookmarks Bar," but you can choose another folder if desired.
  6. Save: Click the "Save" button.

Now, all the tabs that were open in that Chrome window are saved as bookmarks inside a new folder with the name you specified. To access them later, simply find the folder in your Bookmarks Bar or Bookmarks Manager and click "Open all" on the folder.
