How do I close Chrome remotely?

Published in Chrome Management 1 min read

To close Google Chrome remotely, you can revoke its access to your Google account, which effectively signs it out and closes it on other devices.

Here's how:

  1. Go to your Google Account permissions page: myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  2. Scroll down to the "Google apps" section and find "Google Chrome."
  3. Click on "Google Chrome."
  4. Click "REMOVE ACCESS."

This will sign out Chrome from devices where it's using your Google account and, in effect, close the browser. This doesn't, however, force quit Chrome if a user is actively using the browser without being signed in to your Google account.
