Steps to Reset Chrome Settings

Here's how to restore Chrome settings to their original defaults:

  1. Open Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
  2. Access Settings: At the top right, click the More icon (usually three vertical dots). Then, click on Settings.
  3. Go to Advanced Settings: Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page and click on Advanced.
  4. Reset Settings:
    • On Chromebook, Linux, and Mac: Find the "Reset settings" section.
    • Click on Restore settings to their original defaults.
  5. Confirm Reset: A dialog box will appear. Click on Reset settings to confirm that you want to reset Chrome.

This process resets Chrome's startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It also disables all extensions and clears temporary data like cookies. Your bookmarks, history, and saved passwords will not be cleared.
