How do I open a new tab Chromebook?

Published in Chromebook Basics 1 min read

You can open a new tab on a Chromebook quickly by using a keyboard shortcut or through the Chrome browser's interface.

Here's how:

  • Using the keyboard shortcut: Press Ctrl + t simultaneously. This will immediately open a new tab in your current Chrome window.

  • Using the Chrome interface:

    1. Look for the "+" (plus) icon located next to the last open tab in your Chrome browser.
    2. Click the "+" icon. A new tab will open.

These are the two primary ways to open a new tab on your Chromebook. You can then enter a website address or use the new tab's default page.
