Sharing your Chromebook screen is straightforward using the built-in Cast feature. Here's how:
- Open Chrome: Make sure you have the Chrome browser open on your Chromebook.
- Access the Cast Feature: Look for the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome window. This is the "More" menu. Click on it. From the dropdown menu, select "Cast."
- Choose Cast To: In the Cast menu, you may see a "Cast to..." option. Select this.
- Select Sharing Type: You'll be presented with two options for what you want to share:
- Cast Tab: This shares only the content of the current Chrome tab.
- Cast Desktop: This shares your entire Chromebook screen, including all open windows and applications.
Choose the option that best fits your needs.
- Select Your Chromecast Device: A list of available Chromecast devices on your network will appear. Select the Chromecast or other Cast-enabled device you want to share your screen with.
Once you've selected your device, your Chromebook screen (or the chosen tab) will begin displaying on the connected screen.
To stop sharing, click on the blue Cast icon that appears in the top right of your Chrome browser and select "Stop casting."
