You can change the lock screen password on your Chromebook through the Settings menu. Here's how:

  1. Open Settings: Click on the time in the bottom-right corner of your screen and then select the gear icon to open the Settings app.

  2. Navigate to Security: In the Settings menu, find and select "Privacy and security."

  3. Access Lock Screen Settings: Within the "Privacy and security" section, click on "Lock screen and sign-in."

  4. Confirm Your Current Password: You will be prompted to enter your current Chromebook password. Type it in and click "Confirm."

  5. Choose a New Password Method: Select either "PIN or password" to set your new lock screen credentials.

  6. Set Your New Password/PIN: Follow the on-screen instructions to create your new password or PIN. Make sure it's something you can remember, but also something difficult for others to guess.

Once you've completed these steps, your new password or PIN will be required to unlock your Chromebook's screen. Remember to keep your password safe and secure!
