Published in Chromebook Shortcuts 1 min read

You can switch between windows on your Chromebook using keyboard shortcuts.

Here's how:

  • Using the Alt + Tab keys:

    • Press and hold the Alt key.
    • Tap the Tab key until you reach the window you want to open.
    • Release both keys. The selected window will then appear.
  • Using Alt + Tab with Arrow Keys or Mouse/Touch: This method gives you more control.

    • Press and hold the Alt key and tap the Tab key once. This will bring up a window selection screen.
    • While still holding Alt, you can:
      • Use the left or right arrow keys to highlight the desired window.
      • Use your mouse or touchpad to click or tap on the window you want to select.
    • Release the Alt key.
  • Reverse Order Window Switching: Use this to cycle backwards through your open windows.

    • Press and hold Shift + Alt.
    • Tap Tab until the desired window is highlighted.
    • Release all keys.

These keyboard shortcuts are a quick and efficient way to navigate between different applications and windows on your Chromebook.
