How do you get dirt out of ball pants?

Published in Cleaning Tips 2 mins read

Getting dirt out of baseball pants can be tricky, especially for stubborn stains. Here are some effective methods you can try:

  • Pre-treatment with detergent and dish soap: For tough stains, try mixing one part laundry detergent with one part dish soap. Apply this mixture directly to the stains and let it sit for a few minutes before washing.
  • Soaking in bleach: For white baseball pants, soaking them in a solution of warm water and bleach can help remove stains. However, test a small, hidden area of the pants first to ensure the fabric doesn't become discolored.
  • Iron Out: This rust stain remover can be effective for removing dirt stains from white baseball pants. Fill a sink with warm water and add 1/2 cup of Iron Out. Soak the pants for a few hours, then wash them in the machine.
  • Hydrogen peroxide and Dawn dish soap: Mix two parts hydrogen peroxide with one part Dawn dish soap in a spray bottle. Spray this solution directly onto the stains and let it sit for a few minutes before washing.
  • Fels Naptha soap: This soap can be rubbed directly onto the stains and left to sit for a while before washing.
  • Washing inside out: Turn the baseball pants inside out before washing to help prevent the fabric from fading and to protect the outside of the pants from the agitation of the washing machine.

Remember to always check the care label of your baseball pants for specific washing instructions.
