Properly wearing braces (suspenders) involves securely attaching them to your trousers or skirt to provide support and a classic look. Here's how:
-
Identify the Attachment Type: Braces typically come with either button attachments or clip attachments. We will focus on button attachments since the video reference pertains to this type.
-
Prepare Your Trousers/Skirt (for button attachments): Your trousers or skirt must have buttons sewn inside the waistband specifically for braces. These are usually located on the front and back of the waistband.
-
Attach the Braces:
- Front Attachment: Find the leather tabs at the front of the braces. Button these tabs onto the corresponding buttons located inside the front of your waistband.
- Rear Attachment: Turn around and button the leather tabs onto the buttons inside the rear of your waistband.
-
Adjust for Comfort: Adjust the length of the braces using the sliders or buckles to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. The braces should be taut enough to support your trousers but not so tight that they cause discomfort or restrict movement.
-
Ensure Proper Placement: The braces straps should sit comfortably on your shoulders without digging in or slipping off.
