Are clouds soft or hard?

Published in Cloud Properties 1 min read

Clouds are not solid objects and therefore don't have a definite texture like soft or hard. They are made up of tiny water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the air, which creates the appearance of a fluffy mass. While we often imagine them as being soft and fluffy, the reality is that clouds are essentially just a fine mist, and you wouldn't be able to feel anything if you were to touch them.

Think of it this way: if you've ever walked through a mist or fog, you know that it doesn't feel like anything solid. It's just a collection of very small particles that are too light to feel. Clouds are similar in that regard.
