An Americano is a coffee drink made by diluting espresso with hot water, giving it a similar strength, but different flavor, to regular coffee. It typically consists of one or two shots of espresso and hot water. The ratio is often 1:1 or 1:2 (espresso to water), but can be adjusted to taste.
