IFS started in 1983.
Founded in Linkoping, Sweden, in 1983, IFS (Industrial and Financial Systems) began its journey with a vision to develop and deliver enterprise software solutions. Two years later, in 1985, IFS launched its first product, IFS Maintenance. Then in 1990, they introduced IFS Applications, the software suite that continues to be their flagship product. IFS Applications was notably forward-thinking, utilizing object-oriented programming, an uncommon choice for ERP systems at that time.
