What is the Thickness of DPM?

Published in Construction & Building 1 min read

The recommended thickness of a Damp Proof Membrane (DPM), as regulated by British Standards, is at least 1200 gauge (or 300 micrometres).

Using a DPM that is thinner than the recommended thickness could lead to non-compliance with building regulations. This can result in costly remedial work. Therefore, using a DPM that is at least 1200 gauge (300 micrometres) thick is highly recommended to ensure compliance and effective damp proofing.
